Established in 2015, the Asian American Radiation & Oncology (AARO) is the radiotherapy and oncology division of the Asian American Medical Group (AAMG).
AARO provides specialised radiation therapy and cancer treatment to patients, as well as management and advisory services to radiation oncology units in Asia. Using advanced radiotherapy facilities locally and abroad, AARO can provide minimally-invasive procedures with higher levels of precision to minimize side effects, and optimize cancer treatment outcomes. Working together with our highly trained specialists and partners in a multi-disciplinary setting, AARO offers comprehensive oncology services to ensure that our patients receive the best care available.
Headed by Dr Daniel Tan Yat Harn, who has more than twelve years of working experience and eight years as a leading Radiation Oncologist at the National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS). Supported by state-of-the-art linear accelerators and advanced computer planning systems it brings together the best expertise with the latest treatment techniques to our patients.
The Centre also works in collaboration with the University Of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), which runs one of America’s leading radiation oncology programs. AARO works together with UPMC to assist in the management and clinical supervision of regional radiation oncology centres. Our direct advisory connection to this prominent institution ensures high standards of clinical excellence.
As the first independent clinic in Singapore to provide these services, AARO prides itself in bringing the most advanced practices that established cancer treatments have to offer. AARO aims to bring modern radiotherapy standards and advanced radiation technologies to developing regions in Asia. The Asian American Radiation & Oncology is currently providing advisory and management services in Myanmar and Russia and presently pursuing other opportunities in the region.
